Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar Heritage Resort is one big museum. The resort was able to restore the heritage
houses for the present generation to feel like living in the past. It aimed to
bring for us to gain awareness of the magnificent architecture of the Spanish
Era. Each house has a story to tell and one must listen to it because you will
learn so much about the history of the Philippines.
There are a lot of things you can do in the Resort. Las Casas Filipinas
de Acuzar offers a lot of amenities like, a swimming pool, a private beach,
museums, heritage houses, a Filipino restaurant, an Italian
restaurant, a chapel, walking tours, bike rentals, ATV rentals, and 4x4
rentals.
Prices
at this resort can be quite expensive, but the experience is worth
it. A Day Trip is just right and an overnight at the
resort is enough. The food here can be quite costly but the portions are big
which can serve 2- 3 persons. Guided tours are very informative and
the guides were very pleasant. A person must bring atleast P1,500 for a Day
Trip and P5,000 for an overnight trip. This resort is a
perfect place for a quick getaway from the hustle and bustle of the
metro.
Travel Tips:
1. Wear Slippers during the tour
2. Take the Day Tour Package without the buffet. Just order ala
carte in the restaurant because it’s cheaper.
3. If you’re taking a Day Trip, leave the resort at around 5:00
pm because the roads are quite dangerous at night since there are no street
lights when driving.
4. Book in Advance, if you want to stay overnight.
5. Bring at least 1,500 for day trip and P5,000 for overnight
6. I recommend that you go back to this place after the 2015
APEC Summit so that all constructions of houses would be finished
7. The Filipino Restaurant is quite expensive but has big
servings.
8. Bring an umbrella during the rainy season.
9. Prices are quite expensive but the experience is great.
10. The Pool can be only used by overnight guests.
