The Ultimate Guide to Bohol

Chocolate Hills

Virgin Island
San Agustin Parish Church, Panglao Island

Doljo Beach

Bellevue Resort Infinity Pool

Loboc River Cruise

There are a lot of things to do, and many places to see in this wonderful island of Bohol. I have decided to create a guide in touring the must see attractions, and also where to stay and where to eat guide, suggested itinerary and budget that will fit the desires of your family or barkada. I hope this guide will help you in looking for the best deals in your trip to Bohol.

Top 10 Must See Attractions in Bohol
1.       Chocolate Hills – most famous attraction in Bohol
2.       Virgin Island- one of the most unique sand bars that I have ever seen.
3.       Loboc River Cruise- the cleanest river I’ve ever seen. It’s so clean I just want to jump in and swim but it is not allowed by the government. But I think you can try to paddle board here, if you really want to swim.
4.       Tarsier- unique creatures that can be only found in Bohol
5.       Historical Churches – Bohol is one province where you can find one of the oldest and most beautiful Churches here in the Philippines. The downside is that most of the churches were destroyed by the earthquake and is not yet fully renovated/ constructed.
6.       Danao Adventure Park- This park is perfect for adventure seekers. You must give one day of travel because it’s far away from the city. Try their extreme bungee jump.
7.       Anda Beach-  Virgin Beach which has the same sand like the ones in Boracay. The nice part of this is that there are few tourists but is far away from the city center. This will take you 3 to 5 hours van ride from Tagbilaran City.
8.       Hinagdanan Cave- famous for its deep underground lagoon
9.       Dolphin Watching- found in Pamalican Island
10.   Balicasag Island –  Best Dive site in Bohol

 Eat in Bohol
I was not that impressed of what I ate in Bohol. Most of the restaurants are overpriced and overhyped and are just too bland for me.  The food here was not that good. I can only name a few that suites my tastes buds.
Bohol Bee Farm Restaurant- Try their Peanut Kisses Ice-cream, and other organic flavored ice-cream
Guiseppe Pizzeria and Sicilian Roast- Try their Authentic Italian Pizza.

Transportation in Bohol
By Plane-Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific Air, and Air Asia Fly from Manila to Tagbilaran Airport Daily      BY Boat- Tagbilaran’s pier is one of the central piers in Mindanao. You can ride boats to  Manila, Cebu, Siquijor, Dumaguete, Iligan, Cagayan De Oro, Dipoologo, and Ozamiz city from Tagbilaran City Tourist Pier.
*Taxi sand Tricycles getting in and out of Bohol can be quite expensive.
 * I advise you to stay in Alona Beach so you can spend less on transportation.
*You can also rent a motorcycle for 500 a day to spend less for your transportation.
