My Auntie surprised my clan for a visit to the town of Gruyères.
At first, all I thought was that Gruyères
is just a type of cheese but I was surprised but it was definitely more than
that. There are so many things to do here in Gruyères. Our first stop was
going to the famous cheese factory (La Maison du Gruyere). This is a must since you will get to
learn how they make the famous cheese. The process of making this cheese is
quite long, the cows must eat a ton of grass and drink so many gallons of water, so that
the cheese would taste world class. It’s good to go here since this is
where you can buy the cheapest Gruyere all over the world. After our very
educational tour to the cheese factory we then went to the chocolate Factory (Maison
Cailler) of Cailler. You will learn about the history of Cailler Chocolate and mergers with
Nestle. You will also get to eat so many free tastes of the Cailler Chocolate.
After that we went to the medieval castle (Chateau
de Gruyeres). The old town was so nice and I was so glad that it was
preserved. A trip to gruyere is definitely a must when going to Switzerland.
You will learn so much about food, and its history. You will also enjoy the
breathtaking scenery of Switzerland.

Transportation to Gruyere:
Via Public Transport: Take a bus from Bulle then take a
train to Gruyeres.

Travel Tips:
- My best advice for you is to rent a car that will drive you straight to Gruyeres. It is a more convenient and practical way to go there since you can do
a lot more things.

for it

license you can take the Gruyere Day Tours offered by different travel
companies.
