Top 10 Best Staycation Places in Manila

Sometimes you have to take a break from your busy schedule and just relax. If you don’t have the time and effort to plan a vacation outside Manila or out of the country, why not stay in the city and not get hassled by the long drive and traffic and expensive flights .

I have created my top 10 places to stay, whether you’re just a busy employee who just wants to relax, a tourist, a back packer, a family,  a couple that wants to have a quick honeymoon, a gambler,  and a group friends who just want to party. I have listed my top 10 best hotels, condominiums, serviced apartments and even hostels in Manila that would cater to any of your need.

1.       Sofitel Philippine Plaza at P6,750/Night

I think this is the best place to have a staycation. This 5 star hotel serves a sumptuous buffet     with different variants of food from all over the world. They also have a nice pool where you can relax and see the best sunset in Manila. Sofitel has been my top choice whenever my friends ask me because it has value for money; it has all the things I want in a hotel. 

 

2.       Gramercy Residences at P2,500/Night

You don’t need any more to go to Marina Bay Sands Singapore, because this place also offers an infinity pool where you can view the city of Makati. If you don’t have a unit here, you can rent through AIRBNB and get rooms for as low as P2, 000 a night. The condominium has world class amenities that includes 3 pools, a home theater, conference room, day care center, playroom a rooftop bar and a mall beside it. Its location is also very strategic since there are a lot of restaurants nearby but the downside is that it’s just near the red light district of Makati.

3.       ZHostel at P500/Night

If you want to have the comfort of living in hostel that is very clean and near Makati's Red Light District, then this will be the perfect place for you. Z Hostel is very nice and clean affordable hostel. They also have a nice rooftop bar where you can meet a lot of people from all over the world
.

4.       Tie between these 2 hotel's 

Linden Suites at P3,000  and Fraser Place at P 6,500

If you want to host a bachelorette and a stag party then these hotels are perfect for you.

They have affordable 2 bedroom suites which are just perfect for your barkada’s budget. These hotels are also good to spend your birthday parties.  Their 2 bedroom suites have big spaces which can fit a party of 20 people.  The room also provides a living room and a kitchen where you can also cook food for your party.

5.       Ascott Makati at P6,000/ Night

This hotel is located in the heart of Makati’s Central  business district.  It’s located at the top of premiere malls in Makati. This place is perfect for businessmen and for tourists who do not want to spend a single cent anymore for transportation because when you go down to the lobby everything is there.

6.       Azure Urban Resort Residences at P2,500/ Night 

If you want to take a quick beach trip but don’t want to have the hassle of long travel, then this man- made beach/ pool will be the perfect place for you. You can book an apartment here through AIRBNB and just spend  just P2,500 a night.

7.       The Bayleaf Intramuros at P7,300/ Night 

 

If you want to learn about the history of the Philippines, then this hotel is perfect for you because it is located in the heart of the old city of Intramuros. Almost all of the historical sites are walking distance from this hotel. This hotel also serves good food with a nice view of the city of Manila. They also have an awesome rooftop bar where you can see the sunset of Manila.
Note: Their buffet dinner is so good and it's only P750 per person. They have few food choices but almost all of the dishes taste good.

8.       Edsa Shangri-La at P8,000/Night 

This hotel is located in the heart of Metro Manila.  You can stay here because it’s in the middle of everything. They also serve the best buffet at the Heat Restaurant in Manila. This place is perfect for tourist, families, and couples who just want to relax, eat and shop at their favorite brands.

9.       H20 Hotel at P4,500/Night 

This hotel is very interesting because each of their rooms has a wall which has a live aquarium.   It is located beside the Ocean Park where your children can enjoy and be educated by the different sea creatures they have. This will be a good place for your family to bond and enjoy what the park has to offer.

10.   Solaire Resort and Casino at P10,000/Night 

Gambling is part of Filipino’s Culture. If you want to play and relax and stay at a nice suite, then this will be the perfect place for you. While you enjoy gambling, while your children can enjoy swimming at the infinity pool while seeing Manila Bay’s Sunset.
