Pico De Loro is one
my favorite travel destinations here in the Philippines. I have been here for
like 12 times and I never get bored whenever I go back to this wonderful
place. You got to love this place since it is very exclusive and it is just 90
Minutes away from Metro Manila. It is better than other Exclusive/ Membership
Resorts since it has they have complete facilities like infinity pool,
billiards, poker area, playground, dining area, tennis area, play station area,
basketball court, badminton court, squash court, private beach and other water
sports facilities. The thing I love about Hamilo Coast is it’s exclusivity
since you have to buy a share or be a member before you can enter the vicinity.
For non-members they will charge you a 500 Php entrance which includes a use of
their Pool, Bathroom and Beach Amenities. But you have to have a friend who is
member here before you can use their facilities.
How to Get to Hamilo Coast:
1) Ferry Boat from Mall of Asia ( One Way Ticket is P500 for members P600 for guests) (1.5 Hours)
2) Drive by yourself Go to Tagaytay- Nasugbu and follow the signs to Hamilo Coast ( 3.5 Hours)

3) The Fastest route by drive from Manila is passing by
the CAVITEX pass through the new Ternate Tourism
Highway then follow the route going through Puerto Azul then go
Straight to the new Kaybiang Tunnel. After passing by the tunnel go
straight and your now in Hamilo Coast. ( 2hours)
4) By Helicopter ( 20 Minutes)
5) Commuting will be a hard option since you
need to have the shuttle of Pico De Loro Country Club pick you up at the town
center of Nasugbu, Batangas.
HamiloCoast Travel Tips:
-If you book a room at the Pico Sands Hotel, a free breakfast for 2 is included and also the guest fee of the Non- Members
- Rent a condo for 1 day. ( Mentioned below are the contact numbers)
-Renting a condo for a day can save you more money since you can cook inside your condo and bring a lot of friends. Non-Members must have to pay the daily guest fee of 1200Php

DeleteThe New Kaibiang Tunnel Has just been opened so the travel time from Macapagal Avenue to Hamilo Coast is just 1.5 hours. So I recommend you to drive which is a more convenient way than ferry boat.

DeleteYou have to coordinate to the hotel if you want to have a transfer from Nasugbu town to Pico De Loro. The best advise that I can give is to rent a van to get here it will be really hard for commuters unless you want to ride the Ferry From Mall of Asia to Pico

DeletePico de loro can be really very boring. It's not child friendly. Sitting most of the day by a pool staring at the beach under a very hot Sun is boooring, and dangerous to skin health. Frankly there's just not enough recreational facilities. Food and beverages are way over-priced(bring your own).
ReplyDeleteNo indoor pools, outdoor pools are not protected from the blazing Sun, no kiddies outdoor playground, no lagoon paddling, no golf, no spacious noise-free aircon lounge-bars, no theaters, no cinema, no decent supermarkets for owners and members, no amusement rooms, no picnic areas, no ferris wheels, no kiddies bouncy castles, no quiet walkways in the park, no managed wildlife zoo's, too many uniformed armed guards one would think they are in SM Malls, really ugly tall Condo facades which ruin the mountain landscape views.. the list goes on.
Frankly, save your membership money and simply go as a guest until they dramatically improve the facilities for members.
No ferris wheels? no cinema? no supermarkets? no children bouncy castles? seriously? why don't just go to SM MOA and you will have all these.

Not enough recreational facilities? There's a billiard hall, a bowling area, basketball, badminton, pools both at the beach and country club areas, computer areas, ktv rooms, tennis court, atv, hiking and trailing area, beach activities - cove hopping, jet skis - plenty of them. You can rent bicycles, you can jog around. You can even go to the church if that's a recreational activity for you. There's a helipad and a speed boat if you want to travel in style. Transpo around the area is not a problem because there's a free shuttle. I don't know exactly what recreational activities you want there.
Makes me wonder, did you really go there to enjoy or just to criticize?
The idea of places like Pico de Loro, Tali Beach, Punta Fuego, Anvaya Cove is for people to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life and all you mentioned above are exactly what you can find in the city.
Yes, food and beverage are overpriced. Better to stay in one of the condos and buy the stuff you need before coming over. Many areas need to be improved like hotel facilities esp the bathroom.
Golf is part of the plan. Hopefully.
I don't know what date you went there but being there many times, the place is quiet.
The place is not as bad as you have pictured it in your mind.
What nonsense. Pico del oro is losing money because of mismanagement and poor facilities. And all you can do is rabbit on about what's on offer!
DeleteThe resort is currently undergoing a major business plan revamp and some of my earlier suggestions are being considered. The resort is simply not in business to cater for the Manila bus and van tourists on weekends. They also have members who visit on weekdays.
Pico de loro is really awesome.. very child friendly,sitting most of the day by a pool staring under the hot son and fascinating the wonderful view of of the mountains and the beach. Frankly, there are too many recreational facilities that i can't even decide what to do 1st! Food and beverages are worth the price.. yummy!
ReplyDeleteNo indoor pools though outdoor pools are really beautiful, if the the is blazing hot then bring in mind that you are at the beach; bring your own sunscreen. The indoor playground for kids are very spacious and affordable to, for only 200php your kiddo has a whole day pass at the playground with a babysitter to look after them for free!! They have a wonderful lounge at the 2nd floor of country club and beach club with amazing access to a great view of the beach and man made pond. There is a mini theater at their Country club house, definitely no supermarket its an exclusive resort of course.. our rented condo unit was very affordable and clean. picnic areas everywhere, definitely no corny ferries wheels of any sort. very quiet and peaceful place. what the hell would you need a zoo for in a beach?! many uniformed guards, they always salute us every time we pass them by which makes you feel really secured. very inspiring architecture of the condo buildings and all the other buildings there especially the church..
If you have the money to invest on a membership fee and buy a condo unit then i suggest you do it in an instant. then have it on for rent to non members so that they could experience Pico as guest. It is a really good investment.
Oh, forgot to mention i stayed there with my friends and my friends' kiddo and we all enjoyed it! just last march 11 and 12. And we are already planning to go there this July for a longer stay... definitely worth every penny we spent!

We own a studio unit in Jacana A and every time we visit Pico de Loro, we always have a great time. It's really beautiful there and suitable to all age-groups. It's a great place for families or barkadas. There's a new route going to Hamilo via Ternate which makes the travel time shorter. I think it's really up to you if you'll enjoy the place but it is really beautiful there. I have been there 10 or more times and I NEVER got tired of Hamilo.

DeleteThank you Raisa, I'm a bit confused now because I also asked Ms.Jean and she told me that the guest fee is for the whole duration of our stay. I booked for an overnight stay in her unit. If the fee is per day as you indicated it, we should pay 2000php per adult if we are staying there overnight.

ReplyDeleteIf you don't have a member with you its 1000 for Peak Season and 500 for Lean Season. If you have member with you it's 500 for Peak and 300 for Lean Season.
DeleteIbig ba sabihin di pwede dito unles my kakilala or friend ka na isa sa mga members nila?! Ang hirap naman kasi kung mag rerent ka ng condo sa mga member dito eh kasi ung bayad mo sa condo + entrance fee na 600 for guest + pamasahe mo papunta + food mo pa + activities = not worth it wifi lang ang libre hahaha dami naman magagandang beach dito sa pinas dun nalang kami but very informative ang blog mo te! Pag nandito ka feeling susyal ka talaga eh noh haha d ako magbabayad dahil lang sa exclusive resort xa hehe NOT WISE TO GET HERE thats all :)

price range for 1bedroom unit is 6k-7k for max of 6pax accommodation, really depends on the unit you want to rent because each unit has different interiors(A grade)
